[Bug 150461] Re: smarty-gettext installs plugins to the wrong location

2009-06-23 Thread Raphael Hertzog
I believe this bug to be wrong. Currently at least in Debian sid, smarty expect plugins in /usr/share/php/smarty/libs/plugins and nowhere else. I don't know why you concluded something else (unless Ubuntu's smarty diverged on installation path which I doubt). ** Changed in: smarty-gettext (Ubuntu)

Changing the path in ubuntu only was a serious mistake... it's good to fix bugs, but not to introduce gratuitous incompatibilities between Debian and Ubuntu. If something had to be done, it should have been in Debian directly. Now you have a smarty-gettext package that is broken and several applic

Thanks for the fix! FYI, I just submitted #156754 as the new page points to the "components" page to refer for more information about the sources used to create universe and that page doesn't give that information. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-website/+bug/156754 -- Website does not refere

FWIW, during Debconf 2006 (in Mexico) we (me and some DD) suggested to Mark Shuttleworth and Matt Zimmerman to put a Debian logo on the Ubuntu CD distributed through shipit. Mark seemed very enthusiastic to do this but he feared some trademark problems and consulted the Debian Project Leader (who w
