Upgraded to ubuntu 14.10 still the card freezes. I took it to a pc
repair shop. They ran stress tests and found that the graphics cad han
issue. It was replaced with Radeon HD 7800. Now it runs great.

, difficult to tell. At all times I was able to use internet at
normal speeds. I could not do a speed test because I was not able to
install flash plugin for some reason , maybe because I was booted from a
live CD.
Still not confident I want to upgrade to 10.10 so will stick with 10.04.

as it took almost 10 hours to download 50% data (nearly 2 GB) and during that
time I was continuously using my system. If Transmission is writing the data
continuously to hard disk,
