Sounds in Sauerbraten, aka Cube 2, are now extremely staticy. The same
build on Xubuntu Dapper didn't have these issues, and other applications
(e.g: xfmedia, totem) playing the same sound files currently don't have

It's been too long since I even thought about this. It might've been an sdl
issue, since I recall tracking down a similar issue in another sdl program
awhile back, but I can't remember precisely. I'd mark the bug as user error or
something similar.
