On an Acer Aspire 1640Z, I have two buttons: one for bluetooth on the left
which isn't supposed to do anything (this model doesn't have bluetooth), and
one for wifi which lights up in orange when wifi is activated on Windows.
On Ubuntu, it seems to have an effect on wifi, but it doesn't light up

This bug persists in the 7.10 (Gutsy) Ubuntu Live CD I've just
received.
It would be nice to have it fixed for Hardy, as the live CD is the entry
door for many users on Ubuntu, and must be as perfect as possible. (Also
think Firefox and OOo dictionnaries and user interfaces for native
languages p
This is also a problem with a default Hardy install: you never know if
the wifi is on or off because the led is never on, even when plugged on
sector.

with an updated Hardy, the wifi connect button is grayed out in NM, with wifi
button on or off.
