I since upgraded to Dapper but as long as I used Breezy I had the
problem. Apparently fixes from Dapper were not backported so the bug
is probably still there.

Thanks.
Do you have the same problem with others GNUstep applications ? I don't
see how this could be related to agenda.app but I could be missing
something.

Your last screenshot seems to be from a gnome/gtk application, right ?
So the problem probably comes for Unity, gtk, the theme you're using or
something near the graphic stack.
You should probably redirect this bug to another package but I don't
know which one. What graphic theme do you use ?

The reporter chose the wrong package, see the second screenshot.

Well, I would like to help but I don't know how...
Can I see the config.h file generated by configure ?
Also, why are there 2 libobjc referenced in the build logs ?

I think I gave the solution to this problem, even if the patch I
provided is not fully correct.
Is there something I can do to help close the bug fot good ?

This second patch fixes the build problem in a nicer way.
But the main problem of mixing libobjc2 with libobjc3 and libgnustep-
base.1.20 with libgnustep-base.1.22 remains.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: agenda.app
When installing SimpleAgenda/agenda.app in Maverick, gnustep-

This results in the following messages w
I shoud probably have linked this bug with gnustep-back, is it still

Here's an (edited) explanation :
Old gnustep-back in Debian/Ubuntu uses a defoma script to
generate .nfont bundles during installation; they are not shipped in
the package as there is no way to predict which fonts will be
available on the user's machine (no font package ships .nfont

Ok but apparently gnustep-gui uses libobjc.so.2 :
/usr/bin/ld: warning: libobjc.so.2, needed by /usr/lib/libgnustep-
gui.so, may conflict with libobjc.so.3
Anyway, Natty seems to ship gcc 4.5 so can you please tell me for which
environment this package is build and how can I reproduce it ?

Ok, you're not really helping here. I asked how I could reproduce this
problem (and also to see the config.h file) and your only answer is a

Try the appended patch.
This just moves the '-lical -luuid' part of the link command near the
end of the line. I don't k
Update : with the latest gnustep-make release, the '-lical -luuid'
linker flags are located at the end of the command without modifications
to GNUmakefile.preamble.
This is not a bug in SimpleAgenda (or agenda.app if you prefer).
