i confirm 2:1.5.1-1ubuntu2 works on my ibook g4 and not ubuntu3
however, i have no keyboard
which is not quit pratical.

in fact, i installed
dpkg -i xserver-xorg-core_1.5.1-1ubuntu2_powerpc.deb
and haven't switch the other packets (xserver-xorg-input) to previeous versions
(installed packages depend on xorg-core 1.5.1 ubunut3)
that might conflict?
i'm now tryin to install the previous versions now

though on solaris using blastwave packages of gnome
firefox prints, gedit prints
but evince reports "too many failed attemps"
i click continue and then evince freezes...

althought with /opt/csw as prefix that's all

it has been removed i dont know why
you probably will have to compile it by hand
or wait for the package to make it to unstable
