I suspect to help track this down, you may need to provide make / model

.files aside, it completely wrecked a git repository (with stgit) which
I was working from. Perhaps git / stgit needs to fsync some of its log

I've just tried to build / use some software which uses guile-gnome-
platform, and expects to be able to find version 2 of the API. It
wouldn't work with Ubuntu.
The version being shipped in intrepid, 2.15.95 is a development version
leading towards 2.16.0, and defines its AP

sure if it is different on other Ubuntu releases.

"feature" of ssh-agent being set GID. glibc will strip certain sensitive

I don't have a failed pm-suspend log; pm-suspend works fine. It was at
the desktop level things got inhibited. Likewise, dmesg.log won't show
the problem.
mrvanes: I shouldn't be commenting on this, since its not in its own
bug, but with the DRI2 drivers, I believe you'll find there is a problem
with syncing to VBlank. Try turning off sync to vblank in the compiz
settings. For me, this made a difference of 1frame every 3 seconds ->
complety usable.
Looking at the bug which is now marked as a duplicate of this, Bug
#316199, I discovered (which I didn't know before), that you _can_ fix
the volume with the gnome panel applet, if you right-click, choose
preferences, and adjust the "Master" and "PCM" channels.

managed to break one of my own naievely coded GL apps with it, since it
means that there are no visuals mis-reported with alpha bits where they
shouldn't have them.
My app's unnecessary request to GtkGlExt for a visual with double-b

hardware, and that testing (say) a Feisty (or other) Live CD would help
