Google search suggestions do not work due to e
Lenovo y50-70, same problem. But i'm faced with a little different
situation. I didn't install 17.10, just booted in "Try Ubuntu 17.10"
mode. After that, i have decided to backup some files from existing
Windows OS. When there was all ready to go, i simply couldn't to boot
from usb with ubuntu inst

Before 3.x.x this bug could be solved by echo '1' >
/proc/acpi/video//DOS. But now /proc/acpi/video folder is deprecated
and does not exists. Solution does not work. At least I could not find
anything "DOS" related in /sys/class folder. So
/proc/acpi/button/lib/.../state is al
