My apologies Peter, you are correct. Network Manager resumes correct
behavior now when you reenable "roaming mode" in the Network
Administration Tool. This is fixed.

Automatic mode can be disabled, but not reenabled
I'm not talking about roaming mode. The behavior I am talking about is
if you hit "Manual Configuration..." and change anything *at all* in the
Gnome Network Administration Tool (roaming mode or not) you cannot then
see any wireless networks in the Network Manager Applet drop-down. I

I needed to do manual configuration for a stupid LAN setup I was
testing, and found that I can't go back to the nifty automatic mode new
in Gutsy. I liked having the drop-down of networks, and can't find a way
to re-enable it in the GUI. L
This does not seem to be a problem in gutsy (Network Manager issues
aside :P)
