Note I have Bug #992485 as a duplicate to this one, although the
aforementioned bug does not specifically request a size. (I'll argue
that it may even be practical to move the size all the way down to

Hello Evan, I solved the problem you have by doing the following:
1. Run, as you did before:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
2. Press CONTROL+C to before the download of Dropbox tries to do anything.
3. Remove dropbox:
sudo apt-get purge nautilus-dropbox
That should allow you to install other packages a

sound like a kernel-related bug, so I'm going to put it under kernel.
First, remove the following file if it exists:
~/.cache/apport/launchpad.credentials

Not sure if this counts as a bug, but was a mild surprise. The version
of libglib2.0-0 in quantal was just upgraded, and is tagged as breaking
emacs23 below 23.4. As a result, have to use emacs-lucid or emacs-nox
(or own install) rather than the GTK version.
