Sorry for delay, we had a BMC issue and it required a manual intervention to
fix it.
I've tested Eoan in that machine and it also fails, it doens't show the same
curtin error as Disco shows, but Eoan is not deployed.
It get stuck and MAAS shows `Marking node failed - Node operation 'Deployi
adding the console log 25minutes after 'sudo reboot':

This is on Xenial. While upgrading my instance (a 0223.1 daily image), I
was asked for keyboard preferences 4 times during the upgrade which
seems rather strange to see on an instance in a cloud.

Here's what I'm seeing in my testing (approx 3-4 instances per daily
image):
On instances I deploy with images that are from a daily xenial image
with a serial of 0223.1 or older, I'm seeing normal behavior after 1st
reboot - instance comes back up quickly, I'm able to ssh in and all is
well.

rebooting that the ephemeral disk was mounted at /mnt.

We use what's in the archive for what we include in cloud images. So
once cloud-init lands, it will makes it way to an image. I would expect
that Scott working his way through the SRU process.

I marked the "affects me too" button at the top, but just wanted to add
that we're seeing slow boots on EC2 also. With the latest yakkety AMI on
ec2 (ami-1bc5820c, us-east-1, m4.large) first and subsequent boots are
are much slower than expected.
