What happens : In Oneiric, last update, there is a too big space between
indicator-sound and indicator-messages (see screencast)
What should happen : space between these two indicators should be the
same than between others indicators.

The special case here is that the mouse (as the keyboard) is shared between
two computers via a "switch" :

Nope it's USB in my case, it should work. It's full USB (switch-to-PC and

So I unplugged - replugged the mouse, nothing changed.
I unplugged - replugged the switch and Unity crashed, re-started, and it
worked again.
But I'm not sure it will always be like this : After some time, when it
"freeze" (even if it's not a real freeze), I restart Unity (Ctrl+alt+F1
- logon
It seems (Ayatana mailing list) that this point in the new Unity is the
biggest complaint / ergonomy regression, so I think it really should be
fixed if not default, as many people (including many) really hates this
new ways (since one month I still hate this ...)

I created a new folder TEST on my desktop, with files named 2011 -
06.txt to 2012 - 03.txt, it ordered it well. I renamed them by deleting
the "space" ("2011 - 06.txt" becoming "2011-06.txt") for each file, it
works too.
I verified in the original folder of the bug, it's still buggy, but
these one

disconnect the external display, the original one still works great. If

This is a simple bug, a real papercut.
Actually : In the default Installation of Ubuntu, Libreoffice have an
integrated button in the toolbar to send current document via e-mail.
But if you click it, it doesn't work : e-mail software isn't set. We
have to manually open Libreo
I must admit than after almost two month of use, this new design is an
ergonomic catastrophe. I loose a lot of time two unhide the launcher
every time. And if I reduce the amount of time for the launcher to
appear, it appear too fast when mouse is on the left to, for example,
click the left buttons
I will try soon with Ubuntu 12.04 in case

My desktop still works fine. I can't start my laptop (he do not have
batteries, and I do not have his power supply). I wouldn't have it for
maybe one month or two. But as my desktop works fine know, I think my

Here is what is said in the terminal after a unity --reset. I have KDE4
installed, but unity problems began before KDE installation.

This is a wish-bug about unity design. I think that the transparency in Unity
should use a gaussian blur, as provided by Compiz. I tried to activate it in
ccsm, but this make compiz crash (as a lot of others compiz plugins if unity is
activated).

I'm in Natty. When I play a sound(mp3/oga tested) or a video(ogv
tested), in Banshee, Totem or Youtube, it's readen very very fast, 10
seconds of the movie/music pass in 1 second ... More of that, there
is absolutely no sound displayed, not even to fast, whereas videos are
Wouldn't it make more logical to have the menu in the window for unmaximized
windows? I mean, like that :
-the menu are always just above the window;
-we don't lose vertical space, because it's not a maximized window;
-it remain intuitive : the menu is always just above the window.

Very hard to explain... When you want to unpin an application from the
launcher, you rightclick on it's icon, select unpin ( i THINK, my unity
is in french, that's not the matter) and expect the icon to just
disappe

If I read in fullscreen a video, with Skype opened (and icon displayed
in systray) in Unity Natty (latests updates), the systray icon is still
visible, and shouldn't : You have a little skype icon on top of your
video.
