I see this problem too, but I only have one screen. Interaction gets
worse and worse, and compiz/Xorg CPU usage goes up and up until things
get really slow. Disabling unity plugin in ccsm fixes it.

I started seeing this bug in Ubuntu Natty, and I don't know if the cause
was the same but I'm adding my experience here for others that find it
via googling. In my case, it turned out that since the upgrade, my
"suspend" button was now being interpreted as a "hibernate" button
instead. There was

down screen sharing on the Mac, vinagre reports that the connection has

I followed the instructions, but I don't think it's going to help. if I
tail the log while pulseaudio is running, nothing happens when I plug my
usb device in. It looks like pulseaudio has no idea the device exists.
Maybe it's a HAL issue?
aplay -l and lsusb still show the device as being attach

I still have this problem in Natty. If I kill gnome-power-manager and
acpid, I can still change the brightness (I get all 8 steps that way).
But I get no output at all with either lshal -m or sudo /lib/udev/keymap

because the screen is acting as a radiator cooking my laptop. The
xrandr workaround isn't working for me because I'm using the proprietary
nvidia drivers. Maybe there's a way to disable any attached USB mouse
