I have a good, fast machine, a Dell XPS M1330 (800MHz-2.4Ghz), and I've
seen this problem too with flash videos. The new default threshold is
too high. I find a value of 35 or lower is needed to properly scale the
CPU while playing back video.

I would suggest rolling a new package based on version 3.65, which I've
finally been able to upload. The postinst workaround is a hack, and is
not the correct way of solving the problem. 3.65 uses a more robust
method of correctly setting MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME.

It should be pretty trivial to add code to the sleep script to check for
fglrx and a newer kernel, and refuse to suspend if they are known bad.
Like, say, the attached script, which is no doubt hacky and awful, but
at least it would prevent users from suspending their machines

Not by default, since some people like autodj to just play tracks at
natural rate and not worry about trainwrecks. Maybe a handy SYNC ALL
THE THINGS button could be whipped up, though -- that doesn't need to be
autodj specific.

Another thing that seems related: it used to be that I could close the
lid with AC plugged in, and the laptop wouldn't suspend (that's how I
have it set). Then, if I removed the AC power, it still wouldn't
suspend. Now, if I remove power it does seem to check that the lid is
closed and it suspen

Deactivating Bailer and increasing the refresh rate do improve, but
don't completely fix the problems. glxgears is smoother, but still
jerks noticeably from time to time and gets much smoother as the window
size increases. And moving and resizing windows is still much, much
slower than with compi

I have added true webkit support, so that patch is no longer needed.
There may be other patches that are also not needed, so let me know if
any of the others don't apply. The setup.py patch may not be needed
either.

That command doesn't fix the problem for me. It sounds most like bug
#850649 which I think has been incorrectly marked as a duplicate (it is
unrelated to dual-head).
