Hi,
you have to put Front Mic to 100% and Front Mic Boost to 0% in your HDA Intel
(Alsa mixer). Maybe you have to set Recorder to 100% and activate the mic, but
it seems like it is tuning itself down while using skype.
Then start skype and set all audio on HDA Intel (hw:Intel,0) and do the test

as I already wrote on Bug 312403 (which btw might be a duplicate of this
one) I put
options snd-hda-intel model=basic
into the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base(.conf)
and now the internal microphone works great.

Hi there,
I can confirm this bug on Jaunty Final. What happens is, that I start
the system and suddenly when its on the desktop it freezes. Demounting
the D-Link DWL-520+ with ACX100 system doesn't have this problem.

Problem does not occur by replacing network-manager with wicd.

not very often, but sometimes after booting up Jaunty 9.04 the fan of my Lenovo
Ideapad S10e is running nearly non-stop at high speed. It is very noisy for
some seconds (maybe 30, well, I never took the time) then its going down for

I just had the same problem with gmail contacts in evolution on natty.
Not only evolution is freezing, mouse doesn't work anymore, hitting a
