the right way is to make gnome-screensaver check if GL is available on
startup and exclude the screensavers that are linked aginst GL from the
selection completely ... and thats actually the plan. so you still have
pretty screensavers (unless you choose to blank only) that dont kill
your system

exported root filesystem on the client and with dhcp.conf from /etc/ltsp
(see the dhcpd initscript, it ignores /etc/dhcp3 if /etc/ltsp/dhcp.conf
exists...
ldm needs to be installed in /opt/ltsp/i386 which is usually done by
ltsp-bu
its fine in german (de_DE) ... and btw its a pango markup tag not html
(i know they look the same) ;)

a workaround that helps is to create a lts.conf and enable sound
(SOUND=True), thats avoids the race condition that causes this bug ...
could you try something that appears to be the real fix? apparently the
usplash initscript needs to be called with the start paramater to stop
...
so change the

C# would be fine, the problem with realbasic is that we cant build
packages from realbasic sourcecode, the realbasic compiler is
proprietary even if the langauge and source for relabasic apps is freely
available ... our buildsystems wont be able to handle stuff like that.

apparently the portmap postinst is doing an rpcinfo -p in the postinst that
takes ages to complete.
since thats only used to echo the portmap driven services in an info message to
the cli i think we can just drop that line completely from our package.
