Data corruption with eglibc 2
Ubuntu Lucid doesn't ship with an s3ql package, so the used package probably
comes from the S3QL PPA (https://launchpad.net/~nikratio/+archive/s3ql). The
PPA has just been updated to the new 1.15 upstream release which fixes the
problem reported above.
This bug can thus be closed.

I don't agree. Any package should always be removable by the user. Even
essential packages guarantee that. There are very good reasons for
wanting to remove ltsp-client (e.g. by converting from an ltsp-client to
a standalone system) and there are no technical reasons preventing
proper cleanup.

installed anymore, yet the diversion is still there:

I have set up a Lucid diskless fat client using ltsp. The root
filesystem is aufs. Underlying the aufs is an rw tmpfs and a ro
squashfs, the later mounted from NBD.
The problems is that the fat clients work fine for a little while, but
