I think I'm having the same issue in Intrepid Beta 1. It happens a lot
if I rapidly drag around with my mouse on my desktop, but sometimes its
just random. I am able to use my keyboard and move my mouse, but
clicking does not work. I'm not using rdesktop.

I think I have the same problem on my laptop in Interpid, Hardy is
working fine. I always start my laptop without splash because the
sound/beep is very loud. I think its defenetely the speaker on the
motherboard.
Kernel version 2.6.26-2 did not have this problem, 2.6.26-3 does.

Change the default policy context in both
/etc/dbus-1/system.d/NetworkManager.conf and /etc/dbus-1/system.d/nm-
applet.conf so it says 'allow' instead of 'deny'.
Then restart dbus
sudo /etc/init.d/db

In all the earlier versions of Ubuntu I was able to scroll with my
touchpad (on the right side) on my Dell D830 laptop but Intrepid does
not do this as default. I don't know a way to enable it, it does not
seem to be possible trough the GUI.

I confirm this issue, I only have this problem playing games. Media
