I used usb-creator on Precise. The strange thing is that it used to work with

On my Acer Emachine e625 laptop, enabling MSI seems to be an improvement.
`vblank_mode=0 glxgears` give me 690 FPS when I had 590 without MSI.
However, the desktop experience (Unity 3D) feels the same with or

For some reasons, it seems to not always happen.
Currently, I can reproduce the bug even after closing/reopenning
software-center or when lauching it from the command-line (no specific error in

The strange thing is that it works when killing and launching aptd from the
command line.
According to http://docs.python.org/py3k/howto/unicode.html#unicode-filenames ,
this is because the LANG environment variable is not set when aptd is spawned

When ejecting a DVD or audio CD from the launcher quick-list, a notification
appears with the "USB drive" icon.
This is not consistent. The notification should have the icon of the relative
drive (ie. the icon which was displayed in the launcher).

As Whoopie said, this bug is now fixed in Debian, so there is just Ubuntu now.
AFAIK it is still not fixed in Raring...
@Whoopie: I don't see the usbip package in your PPA, could you re-upload
it (at least for Precise)? It would be appreciated :-)
