[Bug 47194] Re: qtparted seems to crash on some setups; deal with this better?

2008-07-21 Thread Nick Webb
Thanks Colin - I'm pretty sure the issue with this was on a server with a newer 3ware card (9650) that was not supported in dapper. Fix was to copy over a pre-compiled driver before this spot in the installation, then compiling the same after upgrading the kernel. The 8.04 installer works fine a

I just hit it in Dapper too :(. I don't see any other references out there on the web, would be nice to know how to recover from this. I wonder if this is somehow linked to an ubuntu package issue since no other backuppc users are complaining other than ubuntu? I guess I should upgrade to Hardy,

We just compiled the package ourselves to get around this issue. Haven't had a chance to test it in Hardy yet, but coworkers will likely try it out over the next few months. Nick On Thu, Aug 21, 2008 at 3:23 PM, Andreas Moog <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > -BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- > Hash:

[Bug 227518] [NEW] mdb-sql segfaults after apt-get upgrade on dapper

2008-05-06 Thread Nick Webb
Public bug reported: After applying the latest patches on a dapper amd64 system mdbtools breaks when trying to convert a mdb to sql via the mdb-sql tool. As a work around I'm delegating the job to a hardy server, but I'd like it to work on this dapper one again. I try to run a command like this:

[Bug 176416] maildrop / courier-maildrop packages for 6.06LTS not compiled for mysql use

2007-12-14 Thread Nick Webb
Public bug reported: Not sure if this really counts as a bug, more like an oversight. It seems that many people are using mysql with their postfix / maildrop configurations, but the included packages on Dapper do not support it. It was a real pain to get this working and I think it would be a nic

Can't comment on other releases, we only use LTS for our servers. I do have one gutsy computer and when i run ldd on maildrop it doens't list mysql as a linked library. I don't think that really means anything - as of maildrop version 1.8 you have to use courier-auth for mysql support (I think),

I've got the same issue a year later using Dapper (6.06.1). This was on a brand new server, but perhaps the OEM setup NTFS partitions. Not sure. I went ahead and kicked off a rebuild of the 2TB disk array... I'm guessing this is fixed in Edgy (or whatever is after Dapper)? Nick -- qtparted se
