reinstalling 11.10 didn't work computer failed to boot, managed to boot with cd
and copy home folder to external drive. just reinstalled everything...

Oh everything starts with window decorator disappearing along with unity
all together Ctrl+Alt T does not bring the terminal up and if I open a
folder its not responding...

Hello all, this is happening in 10.10 too, the problem came up with an Asus
Xonar D1 (Oxygen HD chipset), no problem with SBLive 24-bit usb.
However, I found that adding "default-fragments = 8" and
"default-fragment-size-msec = 5" in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf resolves this issue.
