I started a fresh syslog for you, because I didn't want you to go through a 33
MB text file, here how it did go:
-I started with the wireless off, while ubuntu boots the wifi and bluetooth led

Hello,
"sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall" gave a warning to use "sudo
ubuntu-drivers install" instead because it is obsolete.
i tried with sudo ubuntu-drivers list and sudo ubuntu-drivers devices
and then to install sudo apt install nvidia-driver-460 but nothing got
installed.

i have re-installed the Operating-system without the safe-graphics
option, and from there it was easily possible to switch from nouveau to
the proprietary driver via "additional drivers" - and dual-monitor setup

Can anybody at least show me how to use this trackpad with xterm?
Currently, there is no "Emulation3Button" for this trackpad so copy &
paste doesn't work.

for me the installation went well - PowerMac G5 , 7.3 , DualProcessor
and Nvidia 5200 FX.
After installation , boot process with various results - striped colours
, black screen, etc.
What helped me was to edit yaboot.conf
following this guide here
