Yes, I get the same thing.
In Firefox 3, the problem seems fixed... if I resize the window too small, and
then switch "tabs," it immediately sets it back to the proper size.

I have the same chipset and I can confirm the same behavior. The b43 can scan
and see the networks, but not associate. It shows up in network-admin as 2
wired connections (a wlan0_rename and an eth0).
I tried b43legacy but it does absolutely nothing...
