Found a solution, which is crappiest but... use the horrible Unity switcher, I was using Compiz Ring switcher, changed back to Unity and now the problem doesn't occur. I needed something with a app preview but I guess I'll have to conform to the Unity stuff. As a palliative I created a launcher

More or less solved: removed NVIDA alltogether and reinstalled from "Adtional Drivers", before this procedure didn't work, now it did.
