I hope this can get added soon... I love the software center, but it has
too many bugs/problems/limitations still. I really don't understand why
it doesn't show the download rate and ETA, both those things are so
simple. Early thanks to the people with the programming knowledge to fix
this!

Just wow. Anyways...
I have this problem too and it's very annoying. No matter what computer I
install Ubuntu on (and I've installed it on a lot of computers) after rebooting
