screen corruption after changing the way the 2 monitors are arranged
next to each other (in nvidia-settings). Cursor redraws, so does
launcher on the side, and sometimes top bar redraws, but nothing else

On the X window, I'm getting almost no screen refreshes. Clicking the
mouse, pushing enter in a terminal, or sometimes just moving the mouse
will trigger a screen refresh. Also, bits of window edges are left
behind when dragging them aroudn.

I think this bug was the same as bug 871600 and bug 871614 (that I
filed). Running Unity 2D makes all the screen tearing problems go away
for me. Also, most of the time I can run Unity (regular, 3D) with no
problems, but every couple logins it doesn't work. The info I just

Thanks, this helped me. Half a year late, but if you just run ionice on
recollindex, the user interface should still be fast, right?
