if you look at the configure.ac file you'll see:
AM_SILENT_RULES([yes])]
there's an extra ] at the end there leading to this warning at configure time:
$ ./configure
...

run the attached script which:
- creates a disk image
- creates an ext2 fs in the middle of it
- mounts that ext2 fs via loopback
- deploys & runs some code in that mount
- tries to unmount it
the kernel ends up saying the mount is busy (it's not) and it's not
possible t
just run the code:

i've received word from a coworker that their trusty kernel

yes, it seems silly that it hasn't been merged yet considering its
simplicity. if people want to deprecate things in the long run, that's
