Hi!
I have two ntfs-3g devices, one internal mounted on boot, one external
mounted dynamically.
None of them are shown as mounted, even though they are. Double-clicking
on them gives the error message that
"according to mtab, ... is already mounted".

I used to be able to rsync music to my USB mp3 player. Now, with gnome-
mount, I have three problems:
1. Case - Directories named A, B, C etc are always removed and recreated
when using rsync (which thinks they are called a, b, c etc.). Fixed
As an additional issue, nautilus complains when I try to unmount it
"Cannot remove directory".
The volume *is* unmounted, though, and the relevant /media directory
*is* removed.

Ok, upgraded my Ubuntu desktop 9.10 to 10.04 on my Toshiba NB100. Same
problem, no pen-drives, usb disks or SD cards (internal reader, usb bus)
show in thunar anymore. Packages pmount and usbmount not installed, hal
is installed. Usbmount allows using everything in /media/usbX
directories, but won'

However after switching back to 2.6.32-21 kernel everything seems fine.
I have no explanation for this.

Ok, solved. Thunar REQUIRES hald to be running, for thunar-volman to
work. Needs "sudo /usr/sbin/hald &" to be executed. Now pen-drives, SD
cards and others automount and show fine in thunar.
Now, how to automate this? Easiest would be to grant rights for user to
sudo hald without password prompt
And, wrong, need to go through "sudo -i" first and as root type "hald &"
for this to work.
I think that I need cron for this. Until then, only manual option.

I think the steps when i discovered the issue from the beginning were:
I had the Aspire one plugged in fully charged.

When i plugged the ac in again it updated the charge data and refreshes as it
should.
I wonder if it is when the computer is started on a full charge with the ac

I just did a clean network install (keeping old /home) of 9.10.
1 CPU at 100% from boot. Logging out and in again puts both CPUs at
100%.

After a clean install of 9.10 (due to other reasons), front headset
started working normally with the addition of "model=hp" to alsa-base,

With the backports installed i get better error behaviour but
unfortunately it still means that the link is lost, i dmesg shows
