I have same problem, but copying that files did not help me. I am unable to
run/hear sound from rhytmbox and flash video at same time.
When RBox is playing there is no sound in flash video or it even hangs and
vice-versa :( No sound from RB until I close both applications :-/

Simply by killing PulseAudio and starting it again, sound showed up :-)

Thanks for response roadrash. Anyway, there is no way to boot liveCD on this
machine, correct? The "startup" menu has been removed, so we can't edit +
grub.cfg :-/

Ok, new I just found out new thing. I was able to change display
brightness while I was unable to do anything else. (Fn+F6/F7) but no
other key worked, only this 2 combinations. Any answer about this bug
would be great.

Happened again, but when waking up from suspend. Mouse works, keyboard
not. logout-in fixed it, but this is very annoying bug. Please guys,
have a look at this particular bug someone.

Ok, this bug can be closed. I had some problems with relative/absolute paths to
files it had to get sound files from.

Same here on amd64.. All recent updates applied. Unable to shutdown/reboot pc..
only hard shutdown works.

It drives me VERY CRAZY. Where can I change that "update" to previous
state? I loved when it popped up in top right corner as it does and now
this. Or maybe the better solution will be to remove it?

Managed to repair the sourcecode and compile it to original top-right
Here's a short tutorial for newbies like me:
sudo apt-get source notify-osd
sudo dpkg-source -x notify-osd_0.9.19-0ubuntu1.dsc
edit file notify-osd_xx/src/bubble.c -> Look for PLACEMENT_NEW and change to
PLACEMENT_OLD
sudo a
I think I am having a similar bug, I am on 64bit koala up to date. I have
random issues with my cdrom drive. I am unable to open it.(!)
I've just burnt a cd and now I have problem to open a drive again. Command
"eject" does not work, which for most times works, but now I am really stuck.

I am going to try install fresh karmic tomorrow. I hope I'll be able to
close this bug then. ;-)

Similar problem here on i386, kernel 2.6.31-16. In liveCD 2.6.31-14 BT
works flawlessly, but here on 32-16 it says that my adapter is not
present at all. Weird bug. I am trying to install 31-14 back to see if
it will work again.
