I can't use the ubuntu.com ones because my Uni appears to be throttling
us.archive.ubuntu.com and archive.ubuntu.com to around 30K/s, so
I changed mirror.anl.gov to mirror.mcs.anl.gov and the dist upgrade was
able to proceed.
However, it did add an archive.ubuntu.com line at the end of my
sources.list.

I'm seeing this on all my feisty installs (with totem 2.18.0). Even if I
disable all screensaver and power saving features, the monitor is still
turning off after almost exactly 20 minutes of play.

and long videos really annoying, and it's only recently started
occurring.
The two machines on which I have this problem (the only two that I use

The laptop won't even hibernate now. The moon icon flashes for a while,
the display goes off, but then immediately (within 10 seconds) comes
back on with the gnome-screensaver password prompt. Audio does appear to
work after this failed hibernation process, though.

hibernates, none of the suceeded in turning off the computer. They
appeared to hibernate but immediately restarted. Note, this was not a
reboot, the bootstrap BIOS screen with the IBM logo never comes up.

Actually, I think the problem I just described was caused by the swap
partition not being turned on. Due to the other bug where swap
partitions mount twice, I had removed the UUID line and replaced it with
a /dev/hda5 line which no longer works (it needs to be /dev/sda5).
I'll fix this and report
OK, nope, no luck with 2.6.20-12, even with the swap partition on,
hibernation still fails. suspend-to-ram works fine, but suspend-to-disk
fails. I'll attach another dmesg output.

This continues to be a problem in feisty. If prism2_pci isn't
blacklisted somewhere in /etc/modprobe.d, the prism2_pci driver loads,
takes over my hardware and prevents orinoco_pci or hostap_pci from
controlling the hardware. I must manually "sudo modprobe -r prism2_pci
&& sudo modprobe -r orinoco_

erased when I quit r-b. It was probably recreated when r-b was started
and populated with just the details of my local mu

to be essentially impossible to uncover the cause, because I haven't
been able to repeat the problem. It just sucks that such a thing could
happen. Maybe there is an unlink(2) call somewhere in r-b that occurs in

popped out the apport. I found out that 0.9.8 was released while my
apport was uploading, so I'll upgrade and try it immediately, but I'll

time-admin from working.

I'm not super excited about reporting this bug, but maybe it can be
retargetted and resummarized if there's something useful in these apport
files.
Basically what happened was that I left my machine in the morning with
gaim on and came back at night

Sure, but a user will be logged in when a system upgrade that patches
dbus is installed, correct? Shouldn't gnome-power-manager work akin to
network-manager and not crash when dbus restarts?

Actually, I haven't been able to get the MacBook instructions to work on
a Intel-based MiniMac. After trying a number of install attempts over
several hours, Grub still failed to install properly. I eventually told
the potential Ubuntite to give Fedora 6 a go, which smmes to explicitly
support the
debian/testing now has 0.119-1, so all that should be required is a
resync for feisty...

If flash is critical and you really need ARGB visuals for firefox,
consider using the edgy-backports. The Flash beta 9 there works well.

Here's the text of the solution mentioned in the forums:
Re: Black and White splash/loading screen
The problem seems to be with usplash showing the wrong resolution. It always
seems to pick the first one in the list, which is 640x400. This is the only
resolution which seems to show up black and
GNOME Sudoku 2.17.5 (as packaged in the gnome-games package) has the
proper menu structure.
