I can confirm this bug with my Intel adapter on Ubuntu 10.04 with
2.6.32-23-generic. My adapter runs on 10 mb instead of 100
lspci output:

Update: I'm not sure that driver with
CFLAGS_EXTRA=-DE1000_MASTER_SLAVE=1 solves the problem. Ubuntu reports
100Mb but my Ethernet switch indicates 10Mb on the port
