Since upgrading to 12.04 I find that while custom defined shortcuts work
(with minor reservations, see below), the system defined shortcuts
either do not work, or cannot be disabled.
For example, Ctrl-Alt-F is supposed to bring up a terminal window, but
it doesn't.

@jsalisbury tried to install 6.30.223.248 from broadcom website. the
error is not fixed.

cause of this issue. Thanks for that.
But I noticed you set the importance to "low". Can I ask why you you
feel this is a low priority item? Keyboard shortcuts not working, and
interfering with application shortcuts does not soun
disappointing, the first time i want to use bluetooth on my computer and
then it crashes ... :P

Simply click on the Bluetooth Applet's Link "Browse files on..." and
you'll see like the attached screenshot. The select list for the devices
is approx. 2 pixels high, which is probably not on purpose.
but the whole functionality of this is broken anyway ... (Bug #822275)

the problem still exists in linux-image-3.0.0-12-generic 3.0.0-12.20
it's very very sad that the only one who bothers is a bot. scrolling is
one of a essential feature of a computer. PLEASE somebody fix this. i'll
even send you my notebook if its necessary to fix this. I CANT STAND IT
ANYMORE!!!

ALPS touchpad on HP doesn
The Patch from #56 does not work on Lenovo Ideapad Z360.
Scrolling is not working at all. Also, this Patch removed my Alps-Device from
the xinput-list.
All Touchpad actions come from the PS2-Mouse Thing

holy shit, to find this bug i google'd for about an hour with a non
working system. this bug doesnt seem to be prioritied "low".
this happend to me after uninstall fglrx from jockey. initial error
message was "error while loading shared libraries: libGL.so.1" - and
then i tried to reinstall the me
ps. the workaround in #10 worked for me.

I can confirm this on Lenovo ideapad Z360. No scrolling with the
Touchpad.
evtest /dev/input/event9 gives output when using the touchpad but is
recognized as 'Input device name: "PS/2 Mouse"'
