Well...As far as i understand, anything that uses Gnome's open/save,
firefox-mplayer...a lot of other things, but with somethings like amsn or qucs
( i think) they work just fine cause they have their own open/save dialog boxes.

in deed, this wasn't found in 7.10, right now i have 8.04 [ not beta anymore ]
and still i have the same problem and it's really annoying.
i have another problem maybe they are somehow related:
there's no sound in amsn when rhythmbox is running even if it's paused, the
difference is when i close

my laptop dims when idle on battery power as normal but when i move the mouse
