I don't understand - it behaves exactly as described in this bug, so how
could it be not connected?
If I enter exit, bash process exits - if I close a tab manually, by
mouse - it's still there until I close gnome-terminal completely. If I
leave opened vim in one tab and I close the tab manually -
I just thought that as Hardy is still supported (and will be till 2011 -
it's an LTS release) a patch should be applied. Or am I wrong as it's
not a security bug?

You don't have to repartition, there is LiveCD. I tried LiveCD of Jaunty alpha2
and the problem still exists.
I'll try LiveCD of daily build of Hardy 8.04.2. But I hope it's not
supposed to upgrade the whole X.org? So it should work normally, as with
8.04.1.

Intrepid - SIS video
I tried this package in my Hardy and there aren't any problems, screen
is OK, no flickering, snowing etc.

Now I'm not able to check Intrepid logs and I will not be in about 2-3
weeks. I try Hardy's.
Which log file should I attach? /var/log/X11.0.log? Because it seems not
using the added option...
$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep Debug

I just checked openSUSE 2008.11 and this problem exists there, too. I
suppose it's too complicated to be fixed by Ubuntu team. As I see no
feedback at bugs.freedesktop.org, I have one more question: is there any
problem with downgrading X.org to 7.3 version in Intrepid? Are there any
problems with

Public bug reported:
After one of last updates in my Ubuntu Intrepid sound began to stutter.
About once in every 7-10 seconds there is a little "hung" and my
Amarok/mplayer/whatever repeats a small piece of music. This causes
listening really annoying. The same is with a mouse - it sometimes
