Sometimes I'm really stupid... sorry for this. But I can commit, it works for
me, too.
Can watch LiveTV again :) No green screen anymore.

I've got a little problem with the on-screen display of the brightness control
in intrepid 8.10... it won't vanish :(
Also it doesn't update, it shows always the lowest state. Then the desktop
isn't responding.

As with todays update status, the on-screen display still won't disappear.
But when hitting the buttons fast, it updates. Hitting the key one time and
waiting a few seconds the on-screen display brightness bar grows to the max or
min value depending on decreasing/increasing brig

Same here on Intel gma 855, using intel or vesa driver shows the above
described problem.
Seems to be related to intel hardware!?
My jaunty desktop doesn't show this problem which uses an ATI card with
radeonhd driver.

Hello Guys!
Just a quick update... you can close this ticket as with the relaese of
mythtv: 0.22.0~trunk22101-0ubuntu1
the problem doesn't occure any more. The card runs fine now :) Just
doing the channel scan.

Don't know which package brought it... but I can choose a classic
desktop without accelaration from gdm :) That's all I needed, I'm happy
again with the removed effects tab :) No longer needed (at least this
option should have been present before removing the tab but that another
story ;))!
