When I try and save with openoffice writer, openoffice crashes and pulls
up the recover document window.
It is able to recover the document but the inability to save in
openoffice is awful.

usplash is displayed wrong. The logo is cut off and it does not fill the

Ah well thats much better.
1280x768 looked a little off so I tried 1024x768 which looked great.
Thanks for that fix.

Will it be able to auto-detect what resolution to use in the future?

Well at 1280x768 everything seemed to be smaller. 1024x768 seems to fit

I can confirm the above fixed for me. However I did not use 06:00.3.

I can partly confirm this. I get this same error on my Compaq v2410ca
laptop however unlike the reporter of this bug, I can boot fine.
It seems that the problem is cosmetic for me only.
