Robb Topolski's addition to Lazarusrat's workaround worked for me. My
sound was working, but rebooting/shutting down would consistently hang
for 3-4 minutes before shutdown finished. Using
sudo ln -s /etc/init.d/NetworkManager /etc/rc0.d/K40NetworkManager
sudo ln -s /etc/init.d/NetworkManager /etc

I tried running system-config-printer from the command-line but still got a
segfault:

I tried running su $USERNAME -c groups and it showed me being in the sambashare
group, but when I tried to share a folder I still got the message "'net
usershare' returned error 255: net usershare: cannot open usershare directory
/var/lib/samba/usershares. Error Permission denied
You do not have
bump; it's been a few weeks, so I thought I'd ask if the patch got in.
