since update to dmsetup 1.02.25-1ubuntu1, logical volumes are not symlinked
anymore to /dev/by-uuid causing mount by-uuid failure at boot time.
the culprit is in the 65-dmsetup.rules udev script at line 20:

With the gspca module included in 2.6.27, this library is indeed necessary for
the gspca supported webcams to work.

Initramfs scripts cannot mount my root on lvm volume since conversion to
UUID.
I think that the /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-top/lvm script

I do confirm that I am unable to trigger that bug with edgy (2.6.17-6-686)
kernel. That is, the provided ahci module is able to correctly drive the ICH6M

I confirm that the number of brightness levels can the 8 or 11 depending on the
laptop model.
Old (before august 2006) versions of the module always assumed it was 11.
