I needed to save an older xorg.conf in the X11 directory. With the
Ubuntu standard xorg.conf nvidia-settings wasnt able to save the
settings to the xorg.conf. I am using Karmic Koala 32bit now, with NVIDA
driver version 185.

The behaviour of youtube is strange in twinview all the time. I m useing
the nonfree flash plugin from ubuntu.

I did a test installation of Karmic on another partition and added the
Ubuntu Audio Dev team PPA to get a update to pulseaudio 0.9.21. I was
curious if the problem is fixed in a newer version.

didnt know where to choose the 5.1 sound output, but I found it unter
"Hardware>Profile".

does not appear in the render dialog. ffmpeg was replaced by lav, but
synfig seems not to know how to handle lav, so I do not have the option
to render directly to a video file.

It still doesnt work here. The same highpitched rattling like in the last

I have tested my onboaed soundcard (mainboard: ASUS M3N HT Deluxe) too,
