Well, it seems like both problems are solved for me - nr. 2 with 4.0.1
and nr. 1 with 5.0 Ubuntu release. It is little bit strange for me since
all executable expressions in profile are analogous and it didn't worked
for me until 5.0. Anyway, now it is fine, so I mark this report as

Hi,
I have a minor problem with GNOME Shell. It overrides a LD_LIBRARY_PATH
environment variable with ":/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2.15", which is slightly
annoying. I set this variable in .gnomerc. Other variables, such as PATH are

It seems like gnome3-session or some caller discards the LD_LIBRARY_PATH,
because it is unset in /proc/`pidof gnome-session`/environ. I wasn't able to
track it further, but it is definitely somewhere between calling
/etc/X11/Xsession.d/55gnome-session_gnomerc and running gnome-session (through

Now it is ok for me. I don't know what exactly caused malfunctioning and why it
is alright now (maybe reconfiguring of the package helped), but there is no

Sorry for confusing a bit.

Hello, last update.
The bug is solved in 2.6.39-rc5, but wasn't in -rc4 (kernel ppa builds).
So I think it can be easily tracked down (unfortunatelly, I don't have
time to do it) which change solves it.
