I have the same problem after upgrading to Ubuntu 9.04: when I choose
"Files --> Send --> Document as email" it now opens evolution instead of
my mail program "Thunderbird". In the "preferred applications" is
Thunderbird selected, so OO should use THunderbird and not evolution.

I am not sure, when exactly the problem occurs and it isn't really
reproducable. The last time it happened when the computer run a while
and I logged in. My home directory is affected by the problem: some
directories are visible, many others doesn't exist any longer in
nautilus. I tried everything:

In a german ubuntuforum I have found the following hint, that worked for
me: I have deinstalled the lightning-plugin and reinstalled it using
synaptic from the ubuntu repos.
After that it works now.

I am doing some translation work with lokalize under Ubuntu 9.04. Since
I have upgraded to Ubuntu 9.10 lokalize doesn't remember the last edited
file. The "recent files" list is empty, too.
That worked under 9.04 without any problem.
