The good people at Compiz-Fusion have just advised me that adding:

Screen font antialiasing.

Tools (The sixth menu item from the left)
Options (The bottom one in the list)
View under OpenOffice.org in the dialog that opens (4th item)
Untick the second from top tickbox - Screen font antialiasing.

Had an update from the PPA today and that version allowed DLS Connection
to work again. This was on a freshly installed Karmic with Available to
all users switch off. When this setting is enabled it does not work and
then updating is also a problem since t
