Some multitouch gestures not work
I have a similar issue with a genesys USB hub, my dmesg produces this
when it's acting up and will seem to crash my machine every time. As my
keyboard is USB it may be that it just hangs the USB systems and that
stops all input, the only solutuion is a button reset to get the machine
working again.
gnome-disks-utility is missing everything that made it useful, please
delete this useless junk from the repo so it removes confusion for
people looking for the former fantastic utility

I do a fresh install of Ubuntu Intrepid final release.
In abaout 10% chances, when I turn off or restart my computer,
it just freezes at about 25% progress:

Pulseaudio works on restart, then if sound is played for a few seconds the
daemon hangs but does not close.

installing ubuntu-desktop now works even without enabling the proposed

3 days later ... I've realized that after restart, the system acts just
like before, ignoring /etc/hdparm.conf and Gnome Disks pooling every 10
minutes. If I again, after restart, disable SMART in DISKS and re-enable
it with smartctl -s on /dev/sdX it will resolve the problem till next
reboot.

I now managed to get a working PXE setup for Groovy that runs the
Subiquity installer with an autoinstall configuration.

My solution can be used both for UEFI and BIOS systems and also mentions
how to install a desktop system.
This still occurs in 18.04/bionic. The workaround of removing evolution-
indicator also still works.

I agree, the Debian bug #969448 looks very similar to the crashes I
experienced. Is there a timeline for the Debian patches to be merged
into Ubuntu's BIND?

Sure, I can test the packages from the PPA. However, I also don't have a
way to reproduce the crash. I could only leave the PPA version running
for some time (e.g., two weeks) and see whether it crashes or not...

thanks for the PPA! I installed the new version and I'm now running
1:9.16.1-0ubuntu2.4~ppa1. I'll report back if BIND crashes again or if
the "..is not subdomain of..." message from the patch is logged.
