When I change to the console with ctrl+alt+F1 and go back to the Xorg
session (crtl+alt+f7), xorg seems to lose it's color depth information
or something a like. My VGA card is a ATI 4890 and I'm using the default
open-source ati dr
I'm sorry, didn't realize that there's nothing wrong on the screenshot.
Guess it has to do with the video output then, I'll assume that it's
still a driver problem (?).

There seems to be nothing wrong in Xorg.0.log after reproducing. All I
have to do is restart the Xorg session. Either by logging out or a
reboot.

I'm sorry. I assumed it was using the ati driver. Should have done a bit
more research. Stupid me. But I think it can be closed since I'm back to
windows for the moment. So I can't gather more information for the
moment.

The fix in comment #10 and the patch in comment #11 do the same thing
vhp is suggesting. I have no idea if that fix even works or not. But it
is worth the shot.
vhp, I never 'worked' on the hellanzb project. I just wrote a fix that
resolved the reported issues (on my machine though).

Because the hellanzb project is pretty much dead, such bugs won't be
fixed anymore. The patch I wrote did fix the behavior I had on my
machine with the .nzb files a got from some of the reporters here.
However, as the hellanzb project is dead and we are focusing on LottaNZB
0.6 (which has SABnzbd a

After a lot of testing with hellanzb and LottaNZB, I found the reason
why this is happening. The problem is that IF the downloaded NZB file
(from for example newzbin) contains an entry with a NZB file which has
exactly the same name as the download NZB file, it will fail. At the end

I have written a patch for hellanzb to fix this bug. Severin is taking
care of getting it into Debian, etc. If all goes well, it should be
available in Ubuntu 10.4.
I have posted two patches, source_fix_postprocessing_bug.patch and

The first part of this bug seems to be already fixed if I compare the
code from 0.4 and 0.5.

The bug with changing the download directory doesn't seem to be
reproducible in lottanzb 0.4.0 / 0.4.1 / 0.5.1. So I've changed this bug
to 'Fix Released' as 0.5.0 fixe(s|d) the first part of the bug. DasFox,
if you can provide steps to reproduce the bug using LottaNZB 0.5.1,
please post them here

I too have problems switching to runlevel 1 using '$ sudo telinit 1'
from the gnome desktop on karmic (final (non LiveCD)). It does quit the
desktop but it just hangs at the xsplash screen. This happens on my
laptop and desktop. My desktop is using the proprietary ATI video driver
and my laptop use
