In the Keyboard Shortcuts application, I tried to set new values for the
volume buttons. However, the original values were the same as when I

press the sleep button on the keyboard or the sleep option from the
System -> Quit menu, the machine goes to sleep. When restarting the

First, I ran the following command as seen on the DebuggingKernelSuspend
wiki page:
sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force
Then, I got the attached dmesg output while the mouse was not
responding.
