I recently upgraded this laptop to12.04, it doesn't work either on my
desktop computer that still is with 11.10.

This seriously needs to be fixed, I'll try to find a hack for this cause
neither compiz, myunity or appearance settings have anything that will get this
fixed.
So far the only thing I found is increasing transparency settings in
ccsm>unity>experimental that will turn the launcher black, the dash
would help unity developers find this easily

So if I have 12.04.2 that I freshly installed this won't be fixed? How
do I get it then? Was it released as a package or some source that I can
download? if it is simple to modify as Doug says, can I do it myself?
I'm sick of it, ever since 11.10 I have a dark wallpaper and it's really
annoying...
I loved to use Wallch to auto-change my wallpaper randomly or to use the nice
features it has such as "picture of the day" or "real time earth".
But with this "feature" that has proven to be more of a bug than a feature
since it won't obey and has alienated the user, I can't use it anymore. The O
I have found that With CCSM under the plugin "Window Rules" :
1. Adding class=Gmusicbrowser to the field "Non Minimizable Windows" breaks the
"active yet invisible window" horrible bug.
2. Adding class=Gmusicbrowser to the field "Maximized" works around the "never
starts maximized" bug but obvi
