i was trying this before. It isnt change anything. After installation of ubuntu
i was thinking thats this is problem with ACPI, so i trying add parameters to
kernel like acpi=off, noapic and irqpoll. But this problem is with cd/dvd

In Ubuntu 9.10 the problem is solved :-). No error message at all, it
fixed all problems with my notebook (VAIO VGN-NS21Z) except some 3D
effect dont work (like maximizing windows). But it will be probably
cause the new kernel version.

Actually, what would really be cool (though not in papercut domain)
would be the ability to undock the calendar, making it permanent. The
behavior would then look like this:
1. The user clicks on the time and the calendar appears. The user clicks on a
different window, and the calendar disappears
I know this bug is closed, but can the wording on this notification be
changed? Right now the user is notified that they are running on
battery, but are not told what the dangers are if the battery runs out.

I would just like to add that ubuntu is not quite ready for a time-based
approach. Currently, the power manager thinks I have 10 hours of battery
life left with 10% remaining. Obviously this is not true. Other, non-
papercut bugs must be fixed before we go to time-based warnings.
