Just start digikam under gdb by executing "gdb digikam" in command line.
When gdb starts, type "r" and Enter. Then try to reproduce.

Initially reported bug (this bug) is about WPA-PSK and encryption

I have the same problem with 2.6.28-11 kernel after today's update (I do
updated at least once per day). Booting 2.6.28-10 kernel works.
I am running Kubuntu and I did upgrade with apt-get, therefore I doubt
the problem is in update-manager, but it is probably in lower levels
(apt, dpkg, initramfs
Note: I could boot 2.6.28-11 this morning (Mar 20), therefore I suspect
the interesting part of the log file starts here:

I am opening the task on hal-info package instead: I think it would be
sensible to have ThinkPad's TrackPoint behaving as before - middle-
button scrolling is widely used by ThinkPad users.
I think the proposed FDI file makes a lot of sense and according to the

It seems that wrong hal-info quirks are set for this laptop. Changing
package to hal-info.

This is patch to
/usr/share/hal/fdi/information/10freedesktop/20-video-quirk-pm-hp.fdi file to
disable vbetool quirks for nw8440 laptop (similar to only other nw series
laptop from HP).
I have applied it to 20090210-0ubuntu1 package in Ubuntu/Jaunty and manual
suspend/resume test finishes f

Scott, agreed on need to find root cause for this on, particularly as
workaround packages does not help me at all. ;-)
I have the same issue with up-to-date Kubuntu/Jaunty on HP n8440 laptop
running everything on LVM.
I have small /boot (/dev/sda1), the rest of the disk is LVM pvol (/dev/sda2).
I do not have the HW (nw8240), but will try this on newer machine (nw8440) ASAP.
Maybe other reporters can give feedback for their machines.

I am having the same problem on up-to-date Kubuntu on x200s with Intel
graphics. If suspend is done by PowerDevil (KDE4 power manager), either
by closing lid or selecting Suspend from menu, I get KDM login screen
after resume.
If I start suspend from command line (sudo pm-suspend), resume works an
