After one or two successful suspend-to-ram cycles the system wakes up
and immediately goes back to sleep. After this double suspend, some
systems like rfkill, for example, will only work after a reboot.
Steps in which I can consistently reproduce the bug:
1. suspend to RAM;
This bug started happening on Saucy only.
I have been testing the latest v3.12 kernel and can report that the double
suspend part of the bug is still there.
However, contrary to the 3.11 kernel, all systems seem to be working properly
after resume.

I did not have the time to test the upstream kernel but after applying
the latest Raring updates, it seems that everything is working fine. I
tested a few (7-8) suspend/resume cycles and everything worked as

I considered it to be a bug because kde4 has a dbus interface that replaces
the dcop one:
"org.kde.screensaver /ScreenSaver Lock"
The dbus interface is however not contemplated by the script.

I am using Kubuntu Maverick on an Asus eee-pc 4G. Under Lucid both The
lid and the sleep button worked like a charm. In Maverick they simply do
nothing when running KDE. They work well when I logout or switch to a
console (tty1 - tty6).

parameters from grub.

In the meantime I upgraded to Kubuntu Maverick (KDE 4.5 RCx) which seems
to not suffer from this bug. The bug seems to be in lucid still but not
in maverick. Comparing the two versions of the nid3 ontology there is a
small difference as can be seen in the previous diff. I can confirm that
