Another me too on this bug. I've also upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 and am unable to boot the2.6.27-7-generic kernel at all and am having to drop back to the 2.6.24-21 generic kernel. The motherboard is a Jetway M2A692-GDG/VP, with 2GB of RAM and an AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+. *
